Lane Malphrus

     Kirk Lane Malphrus, Jr., 50, of Ridgeland, SC passed away Monday, July 10, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, GA after a long battle with cancer.  He was born in Ridgeland, SC on June 23, 1967 to Kirk and Elizabeth Miles Malphrus.

     Lane was a member of Great Swamp Baptist Church in Ridgeland, worked for BJWSA for 22 years as Field Operator, and was a commercial truck driver for over 30 years.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved farming.  Lane was a loving son, brother, husband and father.

     He is survived by his wife, Callie Malphrus; his parents, Kirk and Elizabeth Malphrus; one sister, Mary Malphrus Cooper; and one daughter, Whitney Malphrus. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Seabrook and Cynthia Mason Malphrus and his maternal grandparents, Jethro and Evelyn Littleton Miles. 

     A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Great Swamp Baptist Church, 9009 Tarboro Rd., Ridgeland, SC.
