Earl Martin Obituary

Mr. Earl “Paw” Ray Martin, 80, of Ridgeland SC, passed away on February 11, 2018, at his home.  He was born on April 20, 1937 in Kanawha WV to the late Albert and Mamie Hedrick Martin.

He was the owner and operator of Martin’s Plumbing and Martin’s Ceramics in Ridgeland SC where he made ceramics with his wife Connie.  Watching sports was a favorite pastime for him, and he enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves and the West Virginia Mountaineers football, and basketball teams play. He loved sitting around listening to “good ole” country music. Mr. Martin loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly.  Mr. Martin was a navy veteran from 1955-1960.

“Paw” is survived by three sons, Timothy Martin, of Aiken SC, Gary Epperley, of Grays SC,  James Epperley, of Cabin Creek WV, one step son, Edward Brown III, of Charleston WV, one daughter, Tammy Altman (Mark), of Ridgeland SC, one brother, Eddie Martin, of Point Pleasant WV, five sisters, Margi High, of Charleston WV, Sheila Whisker, of PA, Opal King, of Cross Lanes WV, Betty Seabolt, of Hobart IN, and Clara Adams, of Las Vegas NV. six grandchildren, Mark Altman Jr., Justin Altman (Vivian), Travis Epperley, Heather Sergent (Jason), Randy Kinison (Jocelyn) and Courtney Knieling (Jeff), thirteen great grandchildren, Mason, Lillian, Autumn and Eisley Altman, Parker and Presley Epperley, RJ and Colton Kinison, Kaeylynn and Shelby Burdette, Alison, Ashley and Josh Sergent.  He was predeceased by one daughter, Nyoakia Kinison, and two brothers, Bob and Dick Martin.
