Bernard Malphrus

     Elliot Bernard Malphrus, 66, of Ridgeland, SC passed away February 12, 2018 in Savannah, GA after an extended illness.  Mr. Malphrus was born March 22, 1951 in Ridgeland, SC to the late Martin Hoover and Myrtle Tuten Malphrus.

     Bernard was an equipment operator in the construction industry and served in the SC National Guard.  He held a degree in Theology from Southwestern Seminary in Dallas, TX., and was a loving and caring person to those who knew him.  One of his favorite pastimes was feeding and caring for wildlife, but most of all he enjoyed caring for wild birds. 

    Surviving Mr. Malphrus are four brothers, Carl Malphrus (Susan), Irwin Malphrus (Pat), Charles Malphrus (Bernice), and John Malphrus (Rhonda) and a host of nieces and nephews.

     A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Vaigneur Funeral Home, 6802 Tillman Road, Ridgeland, SC.  with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Great Swamp Baptist Church cemetery.
