Alva Mae (Anderson) Scheafer-Stewart

Mrs. Alva Mae Stewart, 81, passed away on Sunday December 10, 2017 in Titusville FL.  She was born on September 26, 1936 in Blaine County Montana, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph and Abbie walker Anderson.  She is a graduate of Havre High School.  After high school she married Mr. Henry K. Scheafer and also began her career in banking.  She retired in Columbia SC as Vice President of operations, from Wells Fargo Bank.  In 1986 her husband passed away, and after a few years, she met and married Mr. Robert Puryear.  They enjoyed traveling around the country in their motorhome.  After the passing of Mr. Puryear, she married Mr. Chester "Chet" Stewart and they too enjoyed traveling and seeing the country until his death in 2014.  During her time traveling she was a member of Family Motor Coach Association.  After his death, she moved to Titusville FL, where she lived until her death.

Survivors include her three children: Joseph Scheafer (Barbara), William Scheafer (Karen), and Susan Miller (Fred Woods).  She is also survived by 8 grand children, 12 great grand children, and her brother Lee Anderson (Evelyn).

A funeral service will be held on Friday December 15, 2017 at 12:00 pm in the Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort SC.
